Scotland Clothing

Client: Bonanza Wholesale Fashions, one of Scotland leading manufacturer and distributor of fashion wear to independent outlets and high street chains.

Mission: Help this successful traditional wholesaler move into the future and expand its customer base via an e-commerce application for its Scotland themed garments.

An important aspect of this project was understanding the wholesale nature of the business. This meant functionalities with the ability to differentiate between visitors and catering for the logistics of selling on a global platform. The design had to be instantly Scottish, and the products in prime position. The preferred concept utilised a number of nuances and symbolisms of Scotland: Scottish colours (blue and purple), a Celtic typeface, tartan strips, wide-screen landscape images synonymous with Scotland's terrain, a cheeky washing line to showcase the garments (Glaswegian humour), checkered Scottish flag wallpaper and model photography with attitude and animated poses.

The home page consists of many gateways to drive the visitor to the shop. The shop is accessible via navigation headline, products, models, products, and gender/age description. The site is clean and simple to use.
